Just finished setting up the new 10 gal for the guppies. And realized I do not have an airpump for it. Will the whisper 60 cascade filter provide enough aeration for the tank or do I need to go out and get a small airpump right away or can it wait a while? Remembered the airstones for it but forgot the airpump.

IMHO
The whisper 60 will airate if the tank is filled right up. I'd want the tank covered well to prevent "jumpers". Then get the pump right along there.
I've got three of those on bigger tanks and for guppies they would put a good bit of air in there. Play with the water level to get optimum.
Good luck with that. They can be really nice fish even at their small size I find them attractive.
Fish_Genius did warn us that the guppies these days are not as hardy as they once were, so primo care is in order there.

I remember seeing that guppies aren't as hardy as they were. Have had these guys previously in my 55gal but they were getting beat up an chased to much. So I went looking for another tank for them. Found this one and got everything but the airpump for 100 bucks.

But the tank is another room so i can't use the same airpump and wanted to make sure about the aeration since I haven't had a breeder tank set up before.

That filter should work just fine, only one of 2 of my tanks have aeration and that is because there filtration is run by an air pump. The surface movement of the tank water created by the filter and the water flowing out of the filter will get oxygenated the water. At the surface level, water and air undergo an exchange of gases. Oxygen goes from the air to the water, and carbon dioxide goes from the water to the air. This is how the oxygen that fish breathe enters and the carbon dioxide that they produce is removed. When the surface of aquarium water is disturbed, the gas exchange between the water and the air is increased and more dissolved oxygen is taken by the water.

if you really wanted to you could drill a hole near the output and run a hose so that the hose is up out of the water, then you would have some venturi action going on. If you find that the guppies seem spazzed or agitated by the buble flow you can use a screw in the end of the hose, put it in the hose till a small amount of bubbles come out.Guppys can be really stressed from the vibration the pumps make when they are restricted either by the pressure it takes to push the air through or when using a flow rate valve. In the the raising tanks that i had i didn't use air stones or pumps so that the birthing mothers wouldn't get stressed and hold they're babies.Rember not to have any males with females the females after you know they got it on. Oh ya use panty hose on the intake so the baby's won't get soaked up. Also if this 10gal is for breeding you might want to get any substrate out and have enough plants at one end to give mothers a place to feel relaxed and safe. If you keep the temp around 80 degrees farienhight the guppys will breed better and if you give them a large varity of food live, Freeze dryed.
