How long has this tank been running? The spounge filter looks new and in the one pick it looks like you also have a HOB fillter running, if the filters are both new
than your tank is most likly still cycling.

There may be an answer to why your water is cloudy here Cloudy water
Your 55 looks great and other than the cloudy water so does the 10, you have some nice looking guppies in the pics. I was going to set up a
10 gallon with guppies, but never did, they are nice looking fish some day I'll set one up.

That sponge filter looks pretty nice. When it gets full of bacteria it should be good for the cycle. I would make sure the ammonia and nitrites don't get too out of whack, because as the cycle is developing you can easily wipe out the bacteria that are developing. Make sure to do your water changes and don't allow the spikes in ammonia or nitrites to get high enough to kill the bacteria. I would add length to the bubble tube as well. Bubbles have to have a pretty long tube to generate a good flow through a sponge filter. I would maybe use a small powerhead, but it'll at least work better with a longer tube, all the way almost to the surface. Suspect Suspect Suspect

guppy tank finally clearing up a little. should be getting some java moss in the next couple of weeks for the tank for the fry to hide in. Went into a pet store when i had a bit of extra cash yesterday.

i shouldn't go to a pet store alone when i have a couple extra bucks. was only going to pick up more food for the fish and went home with food and some more fish for the 55gal. got 8 whitecloud minnow and a chinese algae eater. know i need to watch the algae eater when he gets bigger but i couldn't resist. will post some pics of them when i recharge the camera batteries
