| turbogebus christ i hate my luck...
okay...
so some of you'se might know allready that i'm trying to put together a 90g reef tank... so i have almost everythey done and ready... i'm finishing up the protein skimmer piping, so i put the 20g tank inside the stand to test fit everythang... and what happens...
DSFJKSDJFKL:SAJFKLDSJALFDJFDKSJFSKDLJFDALKJFDSJFKSJFAS:KJ:FDJ...
my freaken huge slide caliper that for some reason i decided to bust out with to measure something, PLUNGED into the empty tank and cracked the bottom plane of glass...
OH YOUR GOD i can't believe that happened... i've never been so full of epic fail/aids to make me do something so stupid and careless like that before... i have tons of patience and i'm always carefull with every move i do... man... what the fail is wrong with me...
so now i need to either buy a sump... yeah... um... i don't have the cash for that right now, so i guess i'm going to buy a rubbermaid container... or i'm going to see if one of my friends in the club or... um... maybe a certain forum... will hook me up with a 20g tank... since everything is allready maped out for a 20g... it's either that, or a tub i can make holes into...
damnit all to south america...
man i wish i could drink liqour... some baronjager would really kick in right now... |

| Well I can't help you out with a 20 gallon, maybe someone else maybe able to help there, but this may be a dumb idea but can you not just replace the bottom plain of glass or is that to expensive or just not worth the hassle. _________________

| i thought of that and went to my favorite LFS... they're charging me 15 bucks to fix a 25 dora tank... so yeah...
anyways... i ended up finding a 45g rubbermaid container and made it fit in the stand... the stand is kind of small for a 90g tank stand... it's only 3' by 2' deep... i'm used to long ass stands with plenty of room down there... fail...
but seriously... now that i'm using that container i have to completely redesign everythey else from the wet/dry to the protein skimmer hoses... sheesh... what a headache/nightmare... |
